Halloween Pudding Parfaits with Ghost Toppers

Celebrate Halloween with a pudding parfait! Add in brownies, marshmallows, pudding, and your favorite halloween candy.
I have a new idea that I think you’ll love if you enjoy Halloween as much as I do. During October, it’s so much fun to add a little extra celebration to each week—dress up on Fridays, share treats with neighbors, and gather with friends and family for small neighborhood parties. Fill the evenings with hayrides, pumpkin carving, and festive snacks. That kind of seasonal spirit reminds me of the cozy, magical feel of Halloween Town.

Walking down an aisle full of Halloween treats always makes me excited—the colors, the decorations, the endless candy choices. It can be contagious in the best way, and I often leave the store humming as I imagine all the ways to use those treats in recipes. One of my favorite quick and festive ideas is pudding parfaits topped with chopped candy and seasonal decorations.

On a recent trip I picked up a few of our favorite Nestlé candies—Butterfinger, Crunch, and Baby Ruth—to chop and sprinkle over pudding parfaits. I also made a playful vampire-themed tombstone pizza that my husband loved (he called it “fang-tastic”). Parfaits are especially appealing because they’re easy to assemble, customizable, and perfect for parties or a simple family dessert.

Pudding parfaits are a great way to add a themed touch to any occasion. They’re quick to make, and layering different textures—soft pudding, chewy marshmallows, dense brownie pieces, and crunchy candy—creates a dessert everyone enjoys. They can also be a fun way to use up a portion of leftover Halloween candy while still saving some for trick-or-treating. October is such a festive month it’s worth celebrating more than once.

Boo Pudding Parfaits

By: Beth
Inactive Time: 30 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Servings: 4 – 6 parfaits
I love pudding parfaits because they are easy, fun to assemble, and delicious. A seasonal theme makes them a little extra special for holidays or gatherings.

Ingredients

  • Nestlé Jumbo Variety Bag of mini Halloween candy, chopped finely (Butterfinger, Crunch, Baby Ruth)
  • Brownie pieces
  • Marshmallows
  • Chocolate pudding, prepared and chilled
  • Halloween sprinkles
  • Marshmallow ghosts or other themed toppers

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate pudding according to the package directions and refrigerate until set. While the pudding chills, finely chop the mini Halloween candies and set them aside.
  2. To assemble the parfaits, layer ingredients in clear glasses or cups to show the colors and textures. Begin with a layer of brownie pieces, add a small handful of marshmallows, and sprinkle on some Halloween sprinkles.
  3. Fill the remainder of the glass with prepared chocolate pudding, smoothing the top if desired. Finish with a generous sprinkle of chopped candy and a marshmallow ghost or other festive topper.
  4. Adjust quantities based on how many parfaits you plan to make—one standard-size pudding mix typically yields about 4–6 standard parfaits. Serve immediately or keep refrigerated until ready to enjoy.
